Roger Burtonpatel

Hi, I'm Roger. I'm a first-year Ph.D student at Ph.D. at Penn, advised by Steve Zdancewic.
I'm also a Luce Scholar, and spent 2024 working for GerHub in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
I enjoy Programming Languages, compiler hacking, and taking unconventional paths.


In 2024, I completed a thesis in PL, and I'm currently a developer on the vellvm group at Penn.
I love making music, building data pipelines, ping-pong, and Portuguese.
